PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
A brazed tip is not a complete tool by itself. It is the carbide working section that is attached to a steel body by brazing. In practical terms, this allows the toolmaker or OEM to place carbide only where wear and heat are highest—at the cutting edge or wear face—while keeping the rest of the tool body in steel.
This approach remains relevant where the tool geometry is simple, highly application-specific, or more economical as a brazed construction than as an indexable or solid-carbide design.
